The Steering Committee welcomes a select group of up to 48 distinguished U.K. litigators and a complement of leading service providers. Representation is equally balanced between those doing defense and claimant work. Participants are nominated based on the breadth of their experience and sophistication in leading group litigation & mass damages claims. This Forum provides an opportunity to discuss pressing issues, learn how others address these topics, and identify solutions in a collegial, thought-provoking environment.
Using candid, seminar-style discussion, the group explores common concerns and engages in meaningful dialogue on the most noteworthy and provocative matters of the day.

James has a well-established practice representing defendants in class actions before the English courts covering a wide range of areas, including competition, ESG, and financial misconduct.
Stephen O’Dowd Originator of new investment opportunities with a particular focus on class actions, competition claims and the use of litigation funding in Australia. With nearly eight years’ experience of sourcing, assessing and managing complex investments, Stephen is a highly-regarded expert in litigation funding. Experienced in both private practice with Addleshaw Goddard and in-house as Head of Commercial Litigation with British Telecommunications Plc, Stephen has established deep and strong relationships with leading litigation practitioners in Australia and in the UK. Stephen holds a law degree from the University of Nottingham and qualified as a solicitor in 2000. In March 2020, Stephen won the ‘Litigation Individual, Europe’ award at the Lexology Global Counsel Awards.
Forum Director
Jessica has a Bachelor’s Degree from McMaster University in Art History, Criticism and Conservation. A seasoned event and marketing manager, she has executed live engagements globally in the legal, technology, financial, not-for-profit and consumer products industries for many of the world’s leading organizations.
Prior to joining Cambridge Forums, Jessica worked in conference management, specializing in executive events for C-Suite executives, Board members and VIP clients. A fluid communicator, Jessica utilizes her leadership skills and passion for creating flawless participant experiences as a Forum Director, focusing on programs in private wealth and antitrust. A food & wine aficionado, Jessica is also accredited with the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2 Award in Wine & Spirits.
When she’s out of the office, Jessica enjoys hot yoga, skiing and travel.
