Jared Roscoe is General Counsel at SoftBank Group International. He oversees the global legal function for SoftBank’s $400+ billion international technology and AI portfolio and advises on government affairs.

The legal team structures unique investment funds, develops digital infrastructure projects, negotiates high-value intellectual property licenses, navigates global regulatory regimes and litigates bet-the-company disputes. Mr. Roscoe serves as a Board Director for portfolio companies—including AI chip developers Ampere and Graphcore, and autonomous trucking pioneer Stack AV—and is a former public board member of a NYSE-listed corporation.

Prior to SoftBank, Mr. Roscoe served as Senior Banking Counsel to Senator Mark R. Warner and as Senior Advisor for Domestic Finance at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He began his legal career at Sullivan & Cromwell and clerked for Judge Roger L. Gregory of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Mr. Roscoe holds a B.A. from Pomona College and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.

Kathy Sarpash is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Legal & Regulatory group. In this role, she is responsible for corporate legal, governance and regulatory functions for Brookfield’s asset management activities.   Prior to joining Brookfield in 2018, she held a number of positions including General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at another asset management firm and Senior Legal Counsel in the Global Wealth and Distribution group of a Canadian Schedule I bank.   Ms. Sarpash holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Sheffield School of Law in the U.K. and Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree from the University of Toronto. Ms. Sarpash is called to the bar of Ontario.
