The Steering Committee welcomes up to 44 experienced private equity in-house lawyers and elite-level private practice advisors from across Europe and the UK who are proficient in the negotiation, structuring and execution of private equity mergers & acquisitions.
Using candid, seminar-style discussions participants share the most pressing issues they are facing, as well as, examine trends and developments across jurisdictions to learn how others address problems and work together to identify solutions.

Matt joined CVC in 2011. Matt is a Managing Director in the legal team and is based in London. Prior to joining CVC, he worked at CMS in London and Moscow as an Associate in the Corporate Department, specialising in M&A. Matt holds a Joint Honours Degree in French and German from the University of Leeds and is admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales.
Committee Members
Paul Dali is a Managing Director and Group General Counsel, M&A and Investments at EQT. Paul joined EQT in 2013 and is based at the Stockholm office. Prior to joining EQT, Paul worked as an M&A lawyer at law firms Vinge and Linklaters, in Stockholm, Sweden. Paul holds an LLM (Master of Laws) from the University of Stockholm, Sweden.
Ben co-heads the global financial sponsors sector at Linklaters. He advises private equity houses and other financial sponsors across all forms of leveraged M&A, co-investments, disposals, restructurings and portfolio company issues. A regular fixture on Europe’s most high-profile private equity transactions, Ben is recommended as a leading private equity lawyer by Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR. Ben is also a trustee for the Social Mobility Foundation.
Daniel is Managing Director & Associate General Counsel at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP). OTPP is Canada’s largest single-profession pension plan, with C$247.2 billion in net assets. It holds a diverse global portfolio of assets, approximately 80% of which is managed in-house, with over C$30bn billion in the EMEA region. Daniel specialises in international M&A and supports OTPP’s private equity, infrastructure, venture/growth, credit and funds teams on transactions and portfolio management across the EMEA region. Prior to joining OTPP in 2018, he worked for Latham & Watkins.
